SHHHHH....It Just Happens!

No matter how much we plan, budget, scrimp and save there are times when we just come up short on funds. It's life! We have emergencies come up just when we barely have the money to handle the here and now! The washer quits washing, the freezer won't freeze, and the dog must have eaten something bad because ....(well YOU know) and he need to gets to the vet now! It creates stress, panic and worry and that's not good for anyone. Now, if there was just some way to come up with a little extra cash fast, we could get over this rough spot! Well, there are ways. And they are legal!

√ Sell stuff! Items your finished with such as music CDs, books, console games, children's clothes and toys they have outgrown, outdated or broken jewelry, and nice adult clothing. There are establishments that buy these items in most major cities and are easily searched out using the web. If you don't have easy access, you can also sell online using eBay, Amazon and Craig`s list. Or search for specific places like Blue Rectangle.com (http://bluerectangle.com/books) for books or Digital Dogpound (http://digitaldogpound.buybak.com/welcome.bb) for CDs, DVDs and music.

√Day Labor is another option. You can find a day gig through some employment/temporary agencies or by finding a day labor pick up location or even helping friends or neighbors. You get paid at the end of the day. Day labor jobs range from construction, factories, offices, yard work and manufacturing to helping individuals paint or moving. Or just make your own "day labor". Mow lawns, babysit...think outside the box!

√ "Donate" plasma. Plasma is a component of blood and is in demand year round. It's actually not legal to sell your plasma, but you can be compensated for your time spent donating. Your blood is drawn, the plasma is separated, and the red blood cells are returned to your body. You can make $20-$30 U.S. Dollar per visit and can give plasma twice a week. *You must weigh at least 110 and be in good health.

Although "pay day loan" type places and pawn shops are convenient, borrowing from these places is not a good answer because over time the cost of using those services can be more than the original amount borrowed.
