Does Free Fit Your Budget?
We all know that a great way to save money is through recycling, but most people don't know how to save money by recycling other's people stuff without dumpster diving! Well, I've got a better way (and it's smells a lot better, too). I found this great site, FreeCycle.Org (http://www.freecycle.org) a few years ago and have used it not only for myself a few times but also to find things for people who found themselves in sudden need after the hurricanes and even for young couples starting out with little furniture. It is 100% FREE. All you have to do is sign up to get started. It is an entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. People list items that they are no longer using but are still in good and usable shape and get this, there is never a charge for anything! With 7,201,000 members across the globe, I'm thinking that's a LOT of free stuff! The bonus (and their main objective) is being a little more green!
This is one tip that fits into everyone's budget!!
