The Beauty of Saving Money

We are all cutting back everywhere we can and saving money is a top priority. However, sacrificing everything can get to your psyche sometimes. How about a little top dollar pampering at a price that fits into almost any budget? Let's start with a massage. A nice , relaxing massage for oh, $33. Or grab a package deal of a massage, eyelash enhancement and a full body airbrush tan all for $80 bucks! Now that we feel good, how about looking good. Grab a shampoo, cut and blow dry for a whopping $12 (this is for anyone), hair extensions $5 and a full manicure AND pedicure for $7. No, I'm not sniffing perm solution, these are actual prices I found today. Basically, search out schools in your area for Massage Therapy and/or Cosmetology. You will only be seen by graduating students who have successfully completed all courses and are about to graduate and they are fully supervised by senior staff and teachers.

To take this concept another step, Dental Schools and Chiropractic schools do the same thing. I agree this may not be for everyone, but with so many of us losing our insurance as of late, there are times you have to just do what you can. Many medically related specialty schools offer high quality, low cost services to the public. Patients receive state-of-the-art treatment only from senior interns who are closely monitored and supervised by licensed, experienced clinical doctors.

Services are affordable - typically 50 percent lower than standard fees. If you do have insurance, many treatments are covered by health insurance policies and fees are often less than the insurance co-payments. So if you injure your back or need emergency dental care, it's an option to consider.
