Size Really Matters
Many assume that larger packages give you a better value. It's NOT always true, at least not when we are talking grocery stores! Always pay attention to the "cost per unit" whether the unit is feet, ounces, etc. Most grocery stores, including all the big names, provide this on the shelf tag. A good example would be toilet paper. The larger package seems to break down to a better price per roll, however, if you look at how many feet are on each roll, it can be the complete opposite.
And don't forget, most cell phones have a calculator on them so the math is easy to do.
