FREE Medicine For The Soul!
It's Saturday! Let's go hang out with our friends or spend the day with our kids! Take in a movie or take home a movie. Engage in an informative class, participate in a social luncheon, meet one-on-one with a counselor to better our resume and do a comprehensive job search. And get this... You can do all of these things and more for FREE and it's all in one place. The Public Library. I don't mean to sound like a public service announcement, but in these financially challenging times, most of us are having to rethink how to enjoy what little leisure time we do have. This could be the answer. And it's FREE!
Check out your local libraries' website or just go by there.* I took just a few minutes to see what our local library had to offer and I was amazed. Everything listed above came from this month's event calendar and I only listed the top few things. And did I mention it's FREE??? I don't have room to list everything, much less the "Win a Wii" contest, the 50 plus classes from "How To Start A Business" to Genealogy Searching to cooking, the special appearances and signings by famous authors, family game day (board and video games), job fairs and oh! yea.... I hear they have books, too. Enjoy your Saturday!
