$1.60 Pays For Chocolate Bail Out
A chocolate candy bar is on average 80 cents. Give up only 2 candy bars a month and for $1.60 a month you can call anyone, anytime in the US or Canada for a year!... Seriously!! Well, according to my Aunt Carolyn..... I have not tried it myself, but my "aunt-in-law" (Love you Aunt Carolyn) swears this service works great. It's called MagicJack (http://www.magicjack.com/4/index.asp). You do have to plunk down $40.00 after a 30 day free trial for the equipment but that also pays for the for the first year of service. After that it's only $19.95 a year for every year after that.
The equipment looks like a "jump drive" and simply plugs into a USB port on your computer and then you plug your phone into the "MagicJack" (http://www.magicjack.com/4/index.asp) and poof..... You have a live phone line available to call anywhere in the US or Canada, anytime. You also get call waiting, voice mail and caller ID for the no extra charge.
Apparently, you can take it anywhere you have a compatible computer (usb and phone available) and you are still on your own assigned number. Basically, you can take your home phone with you anywhere you can be "plugged in".
